About the Role
The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing and maintaining sales of commercial laundry products within their assigned accounts. This position will work directly with the General Manager and/or Sales Manager to generate and convert leads into sales, executing results-oriented sales strategies, building business relationships, and providing pre- and post-sales support while adhering to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Leverage company directed sales programs, promotions, and strategies to achieve sales volume and profit targets.
- Develop and execute aggressive plans to visit and catalogue every customer’s location within the targeted market(s).
- Survey each Laundromat visited to identify equipment age, brand, mix, physical size, owner information, current revenue streams, vend pricing, and services offered.
- Complete an in-depth review of each location and create/present a compelling business case to the storeowner.
- Track information collected in the defined CRM database and own follow up.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with accounts, providing support in product solutions, quotations, and general sales.
- Provide sales forecasts and manage the sales funnel.
- Create and submit monthly site visit plans; evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement or areas where support is needed.
- Execute market blitz activities within assigned target markets.
- Understand and explain all facets of vended laundry products, corporate marketing, sales strategies, pre-sale and post-sale support, customer types, and purchasing motives.
- Stay current on competitive activity (products, promotions, pricing, warranty, marketing practices) and provide feedback to identify market trends and opportunities.
- May represent the company at trade shows and present at sales and regional meetings.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Work experience in sales or account management related field preferred or recent college graduates with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities in a competitive market.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with regard to machinery and equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory/territories as needed.
- Some overnight travel will be required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
