About the Role

The Marketing Manager leads Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, social media, and Promotions efforts, ensuring consistency with branding and guest service standards. This role also ensures compliance with New York State Gaming Commission and Responsible Gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguards company assets and adheres to all cage policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all entrusted funds during an assigned shift.
  • Creates teamwork by assisting co-workers with essential functions.
  • Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
  • Meets all attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, appearance, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Handles Team Member and guest financial transactions.
  • Is alert for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency, and/or vouchers.
  • Balances all funds under their responsibility and prepares reconciliation reports.
  • Ensures cash inventory is always well-secured.
  • Fills in as Cage Cashier as assigned.
  • Conducts themselves in a gracious, kind, warm, professional, courteous, and responsive manner that reflects positively on the company.
  • Attends required training sessions.
  • Obtains required license(s).
  • Performs duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensures minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Maintains knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to their department.
  • Maintains knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consults with appropriate individuals and maintains an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Investigates exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and reports them to management.
  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing by any Team Member that they have knowledge of.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts.
  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to use all equipment associated with the position, including computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to focus on short- and long-term commitments.
  • Must stay abreast of a constantly changing advertising environment.
  • Must be able to utilize traditional and non-traditional advertising to optimize performance of dollars.
  • Must be able to effectively track and communicate results from advertising efforts.
  • Ability to work with a PC.
  • Must understand and analyze media plans and data, financial reports.
  • Must be able to produce annual budgets and monthly Profit and Loss statements.
  • Possess exceptional review skills for grammar and content.
