About the Role

Johnson Controls is a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. This role provides direct support for the installation contract business, handling financial activities, contract scheduling, revenue goals, billings, collections, and subcontract processing.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks and provides direct support for the installation contract business.
  • Actively participates in accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial activities.
  • Provides back up customer call handling.
  • Provides administrative, day to day support in the operational areas.
  • Answers customer/subcontractor inquiries and resolves or escalates customer issues.
  • Updates project/labor schedules.
  • Runs query reports, researches and reconciles unaligned costs.
  • Performs necessary cost transfers.
  • Prepares and submits billings.
  • Completes additional documentation required for billing.
  • Reconciles accounts payable exceptions.
  • Assists installation teams to reach revenue goals.
  • Researches, resolves or escalates accounts receivable disputes.
  • Works with Accounts Receivables contact to assist with resolution of A/R issues.
  • Interacts with Customer to resolve receivable issues.
  • Processes invoice credits and rebills.
  • Proactively contacts customers to ensure customer satisfaction and commitment to pay.
  • Maintains notes within appropriate systems.
  • Updates and retains customer account information.
  • Supports subcontract process.
  • Assists COAs in resolution of issues.
  • Provides additional operations administration support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 to 3 years of related work experience, preferably within a technical work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals.
  • Proficient computer skills within Microsoft Word, Excel, ACCESS, Desktop Publishing and Internet business application usage.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work independently.
  • Solid organizational and attention to detail skills.
