About the Role
BGRE creates premier offices for ambitious businesses, emphasizing hospitality, operational expertise, and tenant experience. This Associate role on the Regional FP&A team will deliver financial forecasts, analyses, and strategic insights for the North America Office portfolio, supporting corporate planning, investment evaluation, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows and valuation projections for corporate business plan
- Support the monthly and quarterly IFRS financial statement forecasting
- Prepare quarterly leasing forecast, including updates of actual leasing activity, forecasted leasing assumptions, and early tenant expirations
- Prepare financial analysis, market analysis and board presentations for management review
- Work closely with the accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relations to gather inputs and support forecasting and reporting processes
- Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as needed
- Convey analytical insights and outcomes through clear, structured narratives
- Analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties
- Support the advancement of strategic business objectives across a diversified portfolio of investments at varying stages of development
Requirements
- 2-4 years experience in accounting, ideally in the real estate industry
- Accrual and/or financial statement experience required
- Argus experience a plus
- Familiarity with Yardi preferred
- Ability to effectively use AI tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Ability to work in a fact-paced environment, juggling multiple deadlines
- Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
- Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Ability to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systems
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
