About the Role
Vantor is seeking an API/Java/Python Developer to join the Services team. This role involves working directly with U.S. Government customers to provide system/software engineering and IT services for a Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI) program. The position focuses on developing high-performance API-driven services and data-ingest pipelines, writing secure, cloud-ready code for a Develop-Low / Deploy-High workflow.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
- Build and integrate backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise application components.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, data engineers, and UI/UX developers to implement end-to-end solutions.
- Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes within Agile environments.
- Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across distributed systems.
- Support cloud-native deployments, containerization, and secure software development practices.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly.
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Experience developing applications using Java and Python.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, and backend integrations.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL development.
- Experience with Git, version control systems, and Agile software development methodologies.
