About the Role

The Environmental Service Worker II cleans and services patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas, maintaining an attractive appearance. This role involves moving furniture, equipment, and supplies, performing various duties to keep the Medical Center safe, orderly, and sanitary, and providing general maintenance. The individual will also respond to emergencies related to Medical Center operations.

Responsibilities

Cleans and services patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas.
Maintains an attractive appearance in all areas.
Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies around the Medical Center.
Performs a variety of Environmental Services duties to maintain the Medical Center in a safe, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Provides general maintenance using manual and electrical tools.
Responds to emergencies in regards to Medical Center operations, fire safety, utility failure, etc., when directed.

Requirements

Ability to read labels and directions is required.
Personal vehicle for on the job transportation may be required for some assignments.
Ability to do basic math sufficiently enough to mix chemicals is required.
High School diploma or G.E.D. is required or demonstrated ability to qualify for basic math and reading directions.
Completion of necessary orientation to Environmental Service Worker I required.
Demonstrates knowledge and maintains department standard of work as Environmental Service Worker I by passing QA scores of 95%.
Ability to use various size ladders required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction/supervision to complete tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers with an open line of communication required.
Attends to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
