About the Role
The Chief of Staff will support the Deputy Director, Division of Eligibility & Marketplace Integration, by coordinating executive operations, tracking priorities and commitments, and helping ensure timely follow-through on key initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate across Bureau Leads and other stakeholders to maintain a critical path for system changes, identify dependencies and risks, and help advance decisions and priorities.
- Attend priority meetings, capture decisions and next steps, facilitate follow-up, and support team huddles and other meetings as needed.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, talking points, and written materials.
- Translate complex issues into clear recommendations.
- Maintain SharePoint folders and shared records.
- Support special projects and delegated assignments.
- Manage the Deputy Director’s calendar.
- Prepare and coordinate access to agendas and briefing materials.
- Track action items.
- Help resolve scheduling conflicts and coverage needs.
- Ensure the Deputy Director is well-prepared, well-informed, and supported in driving division priorities forward.
Requirements

- Experience supporting senior leadership
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience tracking actions, deadlines, and deliverables across teams
- Experience preparing written materials for executive audiences
- Experience serving in a chief of staff, executive operations, senior advisor, project management, or comparable strategic support role for executive leadership
- Experience coordinating complex initiatives across multiple teams, bureaus, or systems, including tracking dependencies, managing competing priorities, and escalating risks requiring leadership attention
- Experience supporting executive calendar management, meeting preparation, action tracking, and follow-through on leadership commitments
- Strong facilitation skills, including experience developing agendas, leading meetings, capturing decisions, and driving accountability for next steps
- Experience producing executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, talking points, and decision-support documents for senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize ambiguous information, exercise sound judgment, and translate complex issues into clear recommendations, options, and action plans
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience maintaining shared files, records, and document repositories such as SharePoint
- Experience working in a government, health, human services, Medicaid, eligibility, marketplace, or other highly regulated program environment is preferred
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This position is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) by SSO
- Under the federal laws relating to the F-1 STEM EAD program, this position is not eligible to support a STEM EAD extension application.
