About the Role
American Bolt Corporation is seeking an experienced, dependable Manual Machinist to join our production team. Responsibilities
- Cut rods to specifications using a saw to create fastening solutions.
- Ensure parts are machined to customer specifications.
- Operate the machine independently, inspecting product quality, measuring and adjusting parts, sharpening tools, and handling rods for cutting.
- Perform occasional scissors lifting to retain rod, adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in manual, hands-on mechanical and machining skills.
- Prefer experience with scissors lifts or high comfort-level being trained.
- Attention to detail and quality, meeting specs consistently.
- Comfortable handling material and loading machines.
- Willingness to work in any area of production and take on any task needed due to workload seasonality.
- Comfort and ability to work on computers for entering and retrieving information.
- Ability to safely climb step ladders while carrying heavy product.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
