About the Role

HER is seeking a Product Manager I to own product execution on a 9-month temporary basis. This role involves managing the day-to-day product/engineering sprint cadence and contributing to the product roadmap by pitching ideas and participating in feature and design discussions. It offers significant ownership and direct interaction with the team shaping HER's brand and product vision.

Responsibilities

  • Run the product/engineering sprint cadence, including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure releases stay on track and unblock engineering teams as issues arise.
  • Translate roadmap priorities into clear, well-scoped tickets and specifications.
  • Contribute original ideas to the product roadmap and pitch new concepts.
  • Provide input on feature scoping and design discussions with Design, Data/Analytics, and Engineering teams.
  • Utilize data and qualitative insights to prioritize upcoming development work.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Data/Analytics, Engineering, and CRM teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Coordinate with the broader Emerging & Evergreen product team approximately every two weeks.
  • Build relationships with HER's Head of Product and founder to ensure alignment with brand vision.
  • Use product analytics to inform prioritization decisions and measure the impact of completed work.
  • Design and interpret experiments in partnership with the Data/Analytics team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in a consumer app or subscription/freemium product.
  • Hands-on experience managing agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and driving execution independently.
  • Ability to make prioritization decisions with limited resources and support them with data.
  • Clear and effective communication skills across cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Data, and CRM.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with high ownership and rapid iteration.
  • Genuine understanding and care for queer culture and HER's community; lived experience within the sapphic/queer community is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to both contribute ideas and execute on others' directions.
  • Excitement to work closely with a small, senior team and gain exposure to Match Group's scale.
  • Experience with consumer dating/social apps is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Jira, Google Docs, and Notion, or a quick willingness to learn.
  • Exposure to subscription revenue models is a plus.
