About the Role

The Reprints Design Manager is responsible for making all design changes and corrections to backlist design files as titles reprint. This includes obtaining files, routing internally, sending OTS to printer/prepress, and archiving final assets. The work encompasses all types of components: jackets, covers, interiors, slipcases, inserts, etc., within 2 primary categories: corrections and set ups (when files move to a different printer). When necessary, this will also include the recreation of missing, damaged or outdated files, using other editions/formats, or scans.

  • Obtaining files
  • Routing internally
  • Sending OTS to printer/prepress
  • Archiving final assets
  • Recreating missing, damaged or outdated files
  • Attending the weekly Reprint Meeting
  • Working with Managing Editorial and Production depts
  • Routing mechanicals
  • Working with printers to solve file problems, missing items, violations, etc.

  • The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
