About the Role

As a Sales Team Lead, you will lead and develop a team of financing advisors to support German SMEs with their financing needs. This role is crucial for increasing team performance, achieving revenue targets, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. You will ensure your team stays within budget, receives continuous training and development, and upholds the highest standards of customer service. Once your team is fully built, your primary focus will be on leadership and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for, monitor, and steer KPIs, pipeline activities, and deal progress to achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure your team maximizes conversion by utilizing all available financing products from our partners.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop your team of SME financing advisors to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture, acting as a role model and demonstrating resilience during ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Ensure advisors work motivated and autonomously, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a team culture of mutual support and shared success.
  • Coach, provide feedback, and offer appropriate training to improve sales effectiveness and product knowledge.
  • Support advisors in structuring deals, overcoming objections, and closing financing requests when necessary.
  • Build and maintain operational relationships with key contacts at our commercial credit partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Commercials and management to align team goals with company objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and internal teams like Partner Management to optimize operations and deal flow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct leadership experience of a team, preferably in the German or another German-speaking market.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role within the financial services sector, ideally in financing, lending, or credit brokerage.
  • Native-level German and fluent English are a must.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding revenue-based targets.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, motivate, set clear expectations and goals, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build strong relationships.
  • A results-oriented mindset with attention to detail, determination, and drive.
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and ensuring the best possible outcome for customers.
  • Highly organized and analytical, capable of managing multiple priorities and working efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, always working backward from goals to ensure effective execution.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and analyzing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
