About the Role
This role involves the bring-up and platform integration of new hardware, driver and HAL development, application software implementation, and HW/SW debugging for a global technology solutions provider.
Responsibilities
- Bring-up and platform integration of new hardware platforms, including boot chain, peripherals, and SoC/FPGA connectivity.
- Driver and HAL development for interfaces to RF hardware, peripherals, and measurement/control components using Rust and C/C++23.
- Implementation of application software, from full stack to device UI/API, on a Linux-embedded base.
- HW/SW debugging, including fault analysis using logic analyzers, JTAG, and oscilloscopes, in close collaboration with hardware development.
- Implementation of FPGA/SoC interfaces, covering communication with FPGA firmware, register maps, DMA, and interrupt handling.
- Utilizing AI-powered development tools and sharing best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience (approx. 5+ years) in embedded full-stack development with a hardware-near focus.
- Solid practical experience in Rust and C/C++ (C++23).
- Proficient in Linux (Yocto/Buildroot).
- Experience with bring-up, driver/HAL development, and peripheral integration.
- Experience with FPGA/SoC/MCU interfaces (registers, DMA, interrupts).
- Confident HW/SW debugging skills using laboratory equipment.
- Understanding of clean software development principles: modular architecture, reproducible builds, and traceable dependency management.
- Active use of AI coding tools in daily development.
- Very good German and English language skills.
