About the Role
Join our expert team in the radio and communication industry, working on exciting projects and future-oriented technologies. We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer focused on hardware-related development using Rust & C++.
Responsibilities
- Bring-up and platform integration of new hardware platforms, including boot chain, peripherals, and SoC/FPGA connectivity.
- Develop drivers and HAL for RF hardware, peripherals, and measurement/control components in Rust and C/C++23.
- Implement application software from full-stack to device UI/API on a Linux-embedded basis.
- Perform HW/SW debugging using logic analyzers, JTAG, and oscilloscopes in close collaboration with hardware development.
- Implement FPGA/SoC interfaces, including communication with FPGA firmware, register maps, DMA, and interrupt handling.
- Utilize AI-coding tools for development and share best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable education.
- Several years of experience (approx. 5+ years) in embedded full-stack development with a hardware-related focus.
- Solid practical experience in Rust and C/C++ (C++23).
- Proficient in Linux (Yocto/Buildroot).
- Experience with bring-up, driver/HAL development, and peripheral integration.
- Experience with FPGA/SoC/MCU interfaces (registers, DMA, interrupts).
- Confident HW/SW debugging with laboratory equipment.
- Understanding of clean software development principles: modular architecture, reproducible builds, and traceable dependency management.
- Active use of AI-coding tools in daily development.
- Very good German and English language skills. The team primarily works in German, with technical documentation sometimes in English.
- Python for tools and test automation.
- Experience with RF/HF products (calibration, signal path).
