About the Role
Vintage is seeking a proactive Senior Marketing Executive to plan and implement outstanding multichannel marketing campaigns for their non-fiction list, The Bodley Head, and the Vintage Classics imprint. This role involves planning, budgeting, executing, and reporting on launch campaigns in collaboration with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute impactful campaigns, including audience identification, creative messaging, media planning, partnerships, and campaign analysis to meet objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with designers to produce high-quality campaign creative and write compelling copy for trade and consumer attention.
- Work with media agency partners to execute effective digital campaigns and monitor performance for continuous improvement.
- Support the growth of the Vintage Classics brand by identifying opportunities to reach new readers and drive sales through consumer, cultural, and market insights.
- Liaise with home and international sales teams to present books effectively and drive sales.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with authors, agents, and colleagues.
- Review submissions from various Vintage imprints and provide market-led feedback, assisting with author pitches as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers, booksellers, brand partners, and design agencies.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms, generate ideas, and develop them into sales-driving campaign strategies.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform and inspire new reader engagement strategies.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience planning and executing highly creative and sales-driving marketing campaigns in publishing or other industries.
- Ability to leverage audience insights and data to inform marketing strategies.
- Passion for and knowledge of marketing, with a drive to explore new reader engagement methods and stay current with book, consumer, and marketing trends.
- Excellent eye for design and strong copywriting skills.
- A love of books and reading, particularly non-fiction and classics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Organized, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Creative, curious, innovative, and inclusive approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
