About the Role
Sizewell C is a critical UK infrastructure project focused on energy security and net zero. This role is central to mobilising the workforce needed for this multi-billion-pound project, partnering with senior leaders to attract and secure talent across various specialisms. It offers the chance to influence hiring strategies and build teams for a lasting legacy.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of vacancies.
- Partner with leaders to develop effective hiring and workforce mobilisation strategies.
- Lead detailed recruitment briefings to understand business needs and market challenges.
- Deliver recruitment campaigns across engineering, construction, project delivery, corporate, and specialist functions.
- Develop innovative attraction strategies to secure hard-to-find talent.
- Provide market intelligence and recruitment expertise to support hiring decisions.
- Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, talent mapping, and networking.
- Manage recruitment pipelines to ensure vacancies progress at pace.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, and selection processes.
- Negotiate offers and support hiring decisions.
- Deliver a seamless onboarding experience for successful candidates.
- Build trusted relationships with Hiring Managers and senior stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic recruitment advisor and challenge constructively when required.
- Support workforce planning and organisational growth initiatives.
- Guide stakeholders through recruitment governance and best practice.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, market conditions, and delivery timelines.
- Drive accountability and momentum throughout recruitment processes.
- Ensure recruitment activity remains compliant with policies, governance requirements, and employment legislation.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting.
- Support recruitment process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to employer branding and attraction strategies.
- Work effectively within a highly regulated environment.
- Manage external recruitment suppliers where required.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through to onboarding.
- Act as an ambassador for Sizewell C in the external market.
- Support networking events, attraction campaigns, and talent initiatives.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and equitable hiring practices.
Requirements
- Proven end-to-end recruitment experience gained within an in-house, agency, or RPO environment.
- Experience recruiting across complex, fast-paced, and high-volume environments.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including partnering with senior leaders.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong direct sourcing and talent attraction capability.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of recruitment market dynamics.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
- Strong understanding of recruitment compliance and governance.
- Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience recruiting within infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy, or other regulated sectors (desirable).
- Experience supporting large-scale workforce mobilisation programmes (desirable).
- Understanding of governance-led recruitment environments (desirable).
- Experience working closely with People Partnering teams and workforce planning functions (desirable).
- Must meet criteria for Security Vetting, ordinarily requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years.
