About the Role
This role is responsible for ensuring risk and compliance with legal, regulatory, and in-house policies for the Australia and New Zealand Corporate, Funds, and Capital Markets business. You will report to the Associate Director, Compliance and Risk, with a dotted line to the Regional Compliance Director, APAC.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) for CSC Australia and CSC New Zealand entities
- Provide independent risk & compliance advice and support on client acceptance based on company policies, group policies, and local legislation, rules, and industry practice
- Liaise with AUSTRAC, DIA, and other relevant regulators
- Conduct risk & compliance monitoring, including regular review of client entities, transaction monitoring, processing & clearance of suspicious hits, and specific thematic reviews
- Provide compliance support to Corporate Legal Solutions, Funds, and Capital Markets business lines
- Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance frameworks for reporting entities
- Liaise and deal with Internal Audit inspections or enquiries
- Conduct risk & compliance investigations pertaining to incidents, complaints, or administration issues
- Conduct AML/CFT induction to new staff and provide ongoing risk & compliance training to existing staff
- Prepare relevant risk & compliance management information & reports
- Participate in ad hoc risk & compliance related projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance
- Solid experience in managing risk & compliance framework in accordance to regulatory and statutory requirements
- Familiarity with AUSTRAC, DIA and FMA regulatory expectations
- Sound knowledge of local regulations including both Australia and New Zealand rules and regulations
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to independently and effectively work with different stakeholders
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Independent, meticulous, pro-active, attentive to details, self-motivated, outspoken, keen to learn, and capable of meeting new challenges with excellent communication skills
