About the Role
Support Site Engineers with the development and setting out of engineering controls on live construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Support site engineering control and setting out activities, providing information and guidance to operatives and subcontractors.
- Complete site diary records and photographic evidence as required.
- Assist with material reconciliations.
- Help ensure all surveying equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Assist with carrying out as-built surveys and the preparation of associated drawings.
- Support the production of 2D and 3D site sketches.
- Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and supporting the maintenance of as-built records.
- Support basic planning, monitoring and programming activities.
- Help identify and minimise waste on site.
- Contribute to the introduction of new processes, techniques and innovations on site.
- Ensure company property under your control is cared for and stored securely when not in use.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a safe working environment for everyone.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to undertake relevant professional qualifications and continued learning.
- Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information and drawings.
- Knowledge of standard setting out techniques and experience using levels and EDM equipment; knowledge of GPS surveying would be beneficial.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a variety of projects and activities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Understanding of personal health and safety responsibilities and commitment to following company policies and procedures.
