About the Role
This role involves shaping and delivering services across health inequalities, sexual health, NHS Health Checks, weight management, and physical activity. You will commission preventative services to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for Lewisham's diverse communities.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning services across health inequalities, sexual health, NHS Health Checks, weight management and physical activity.
- Commissioning preventative services that improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for Lewisham's diverse communities.
- Service design.
- Contract management.
- Service improvement.
- Partnership working across health, social care, primary care, and the voluntary and community sector.
- Managing complex programmes, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
- Writing high-quality reports and business cases.
- Influencing senior stakeholders.
- Driving innovation across services.
Requirements
- Experience of service design, commissioning, contract management, and service improvement across public health and preventative services.
- Knowledge and experience of public health commissioning within a local authority setting.
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to drive innovation across services.
