About the Role

The Technology Solutions squad builds custom applications, APIs, and AI tools for clients in the sports industry. This role involves understanding system requirements, shaping projects, and mentoring others, balancing high-level design with a product-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PMs and stakeholders to build custom solutions, suggesting technical and feature trade-offs.
• Develop robust, low-latency solutions using AWS services.
• Contribute to a shared ecosystem of services and tools, prioritizing collective outcomes and scalability.
• Provide support for solutions focused on specific sporting events, including fixed deadlines and go-live support.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and enhance system logic, maintaining human oversight.
• Work within an XP-influenced environment, utilizing TDD and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• Several years of experience, suitable for a Mid-level role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to learn new languages.
• Everyday user of agentic coding workflows, leveraging Claude Skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and autonomous agents.
• Experience building and scaling event-driven architectures using AWS Serverless (Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with the sports industry context, data, and markets.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL data modeling for high-volume, low-latency environments.
• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of the sports business.
