About the Role
You will develop our positioning, sharpen our voice, and decide with the founders how and where we become visible. From social media and press to our website, events, and relevant platforms, you will develop the stories, formats, and channels that suit us. Not loud for the sake of being loud, but with a clear idea of what we stand for and how we want to be perceived.
Responsibilities
- Develop positioning, messaging framework, tone of voice, and brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all channels.
- Translate robotics, electronics, and software into understandable narratives for customers, investors, and the community through launch campaigns, thought leadership, website content, and sales materials.
- Manage social media channels end-to-end, including strategy, editorial planning, content creation, community interaction, and performance analysis, leveraging video and behind-the-scenes content from the lab.
- Build press and journalist relationships, draft press releases, prepare the leadership team for interviews, and shape trade show and conference appearances.
- Communicate product milestones, funding news, and partnerships both internally and externally.
- Make team progress, decisions, and values visible to ensure everyone is informed.
- Brief freelancers, agencies, and creatives, collaborate closely with founders, engineering, product, and sales teams, and provide the People team with the brand foundation for employer branding.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Brand, Communications, PR, or Content, ideally in a tech, hardware, or deep-tech environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complex topics with substance over buzzwords.
- Genuine social media expertise, understanding the mechanics of platforms like LinkedIn, producing content, and knowing what drives reach and relevance.
- Technology curiosity, with the desire to delve into robotics and ask the right questions, even without an engineering degree.
- Hands-on mentality, capable of writing strategy and posts on the same day, viewing startup reality as an exciting challenge rather than a compromise.
- Confident presence when interacting with founders and stakeholders at eye level.
- Negotiation-level German and English proficiency, with strong writing skills in both languages.
- Based in Berlin and willing to work on-site with the team.
