About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and delivery-focused NPD Project Lead to manage the end-to-end delivery of new product development projects. This role involves detailed product development work and managing multiple complex projects across the business, acting as a key liaison between various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple NPD projects from concept to launch.
  • Build, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, critical paths, and timelines.
  • Manage multiple workstreams concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Drive accountability across teams and escalate timeline risks.
  • Balance product performance, operational feasibility, and commercial requirements.
  • Coordinate product testing, trials, validation, and sign-off processes.
  • Address technical or operational challenges pragmatically.
  • Act as the day-to-day project lead across Product, Supply Chain, Ops, Marketing, Brand, and Creative.
  • Ensure clear communication of project status, ownership, and deadlines.
  • Drive alignment and decision-making across workstreams.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Maintain project momentum and support team members.
  • Line manage other team members and remove obstacles.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated project tracking systems, databases, and dashboards.
  • Understand tool interactions for efficient handoffs.
  • Redesign manual or inefficient workflows using automation.
  • Utilize AI tools to accelerate delivery, identify risks, and improve communication.
  • Produce clear and concise launch status updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex plans into straightforward visibility on progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Provide clarity in complex or fast-moving situations.
  • Ensure products are market-ready on time.
  • Coordinate with DTC & Retail teams on customer requirements and launch priorities.
  • Oversee all launch readiness activities, including samples, specs, packaging, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure products support commercial success and sales performance.
  • Coordinate with the wider business on new launches to disseminate key NPD information.

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional organization and a commitment to timely and thorough execution.
  • Experience in NPD, ideally within personal care, product development, or fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Comfortable with the details of product development, including formulations, packaging, testing, and approvals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and hold others accountable.
  • Highly proactive, autonomous, and capable of operating effectively in ambiguous situations.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the product-to-market process.
  • Experience building and managing project tracking systems, dashboards, or structured reporting tools.
  • Strong spreadsheet and data skills, with comfort working with structured operational data.
  • Experience in process improvement and removing workflow friction.
  • Comfortable using automation and AI tools to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency.
  • Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, beauty, food, beverage, or similar fast-paced environments (desirable).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, and packaging production processes (desirable).
  • Comfortable using AI tools daily for analysis, communication, and execution (desirable).
