About the Role

GXO Dagenham is recruiting for HGV C+E (Class 1) Drivers to join their transport team supporting their customer, Breedon Cement. This role offers a chance to develop your career and work on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform single drop pallet deliveries (typically 2-3 per shift) from the Dagenham depot to retail and trade locations.
  • Strap down pallets of cement and secure curtains before driving.
  • Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Operate company vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently.
  • Ensure required documents are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
  • Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
  • Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
  • No more than 6 current penalty points.

Salary/Compensations

  • £49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week)
  • £18.92 per hour

Benefits

  • Minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay.
  • Start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00.
