  • Track emerging trends, audience conversations, and community sentiment.
  • Identify reactive opportunities, creator partnerships, and user-generated content opportunities.
  • Bring social trends, platform updates, and cultural insights into regular team planning and newsroom sessions.
  • Produce regular community and sentiment reporting with actionable recommendations.
  • Moderate community conversations in line with agreed guidelines.
  • Remove spam, bot activity, and harmful content.
  • Escalate reputational risks, sensitive conversations, and customer issues where appropriate.
  • Maintain eBay's tone of voice and brand standards across every interaction.
  • Work closely with Social, PR, Customer Service, and agency partners to ensure consistent messaging and appropriate escalations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for social-first storytelling.
  • Contribute ideas that improve creative development, community engagement, and social performance.

Requirements

  • Experience managing social communities for a major brand or agency.
  • Hands-on experience across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience creating platform-native social content, particularly in TikTok.
  • Experience using social publishing, listening, and community management tools.
  • Excellent judgement when managing sensitive conversations and protecting brand reputation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate community conversations into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to emerging opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, creative approach to problem solving.
  • Passion for social media, culture, and creating engaging customer experiences.
