About the Role

The Service Technician assists with overseeing the physical property, general maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, and construction or rehabilitation projects for the apartment community. This role handles grounds keeping, onsite amenities upkeep, and responds to on-call/after-hour emergencies. The Service Technician also manages the make-ready process, adhering to Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • Familiar with plumbing repairs
  • Familiar with tile work
  • Familiar with HVAC equipment
  • Familiar with appliances
  • Familiar with carpentry repairs
  • Familiar with electrical repairs
  • Familiar with all facets of apartment make-ready
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods
  • Ability to move through the community and maneuver around equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders for repairs
  • Willing to be on-call
  • Able to climb up and down a ladder
  • Ability to effectively communicate with tenants and property staff
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow
