About the Role

TYTAN Technologies is seeking an intern or working student to join their Growth team in Berlin. The role involves monitoring political and security-policy developments, preparing analyses, supporting stakeholder engagement, researching funding opportunities, and contributing to external communications to advance the company's political visibility and network.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and security-policy developments at the national and EU level (defense, counter-drone, public procurement)
  • Prepare briefings, position papers, and background analyses for the founders and key stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of meetings, appointments, and events with representatives from politics, public administration, and defense
  • Build and maintain a stakeholder and contact database of relevant decision-makers and institutions
  • Research funding programs, tenders, and public procurement procedures (national & EU)
  • Contribute to TYTAN's external communications and positioning toward public sectors
  • Take ownership of own projects that advance political visibility and network

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Economics, Security/Defense Policy, or a related field
  • Strong interest in politics, security and defense topics, and European sovereignty
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to distill complex matters clearly and concisely
  • Analytical, structured thinking and a diligent, independent way of working
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Confident with common office software (or equivalent tools)
  • Discretion and a professional approach to handling sensitive information
  • Minimum availability of 4 months
  • On-site in Berlin
  • First hands-on experience in public affairs, government relations, an association, ministry, parliamentary office, think tank, consultancy, or NGO
  • Understanding of political decision-making processes at the federal and/or EU level
  • Knowledge of public procurement, defense policy, or regulatory frameworks
  • An existing network in the political or security-policy environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on mentality in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus
  • Does not offer visa sponsorship; only candidates with a valid work permit will be considered.
