About the Role
We are seeking a creative, confident, and bold Shooting Digital Producer to drive the development of high-profile client video content, working with clients, sports organizations, contributors, and on-screen talent to plan and execute long-form content for YouTube.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute must-watch long-form content for YouTube.
- Operate in a team and individually to manage complex production plans across a sporting calendar.
- Edit rushes into entertaining and engaging YouTube pieces.
- Create content that stops people scrolling and encourages engagement and sharing.
- Take a 10-minute slot with two athletes and turn it into shareable short-form cross-platform content for social media.
- Translate access into standout social media content that performs on the platform and drives viewers to the YouTube channel.
- Make digital and social content considered the best the sport of rugby has ever seen for a major organization within the sport.
- Translate brilliant access to players into content that creates stars, finding and developing the next generation of breakout stars.
- Be the creative force behind all self-shot content, pushing the team and client to try new things.
- Learn from feedback and improve.
Requirements
- Individuals with a track record of making brilliant digital and social content for a major brand, ideally in sport.
- Creative production skills with an understanding of working with top-level sports talent.
- People skills to get the best out of contributors.
- Videographer confident in shooting on a variety of cameras.
- Ability to structure a shoot day to capture enough material for strong 8–10-minute YouTube videos with a stand-out thumbnail and hook, engaging narrative, and the technical ability to deliver on the shoot plan.
- Independent editor who can see creative ideas through to delivery to a standard worthy of a premium YouTube sports property.
- Organized shoot planner who can manage a changing schedule and keep on top of communications coherently and reliably.
- Creative person who can take a 10-minute slot with two athletes and turn it into shareable short-form cross-platform content for social media.
- Deep understanding of how access can translate into standout social media content.
- Ability to make content that changes the whole perception of a sport.
Skills
- Self-shooting skills on Sony A7S, FX3, and FX6 or similar.
- High competence in recording sound.
- Gimbal operation.
- Editing skills using the Adobe Suite, especially Adobe Premiere.
- Growing skillset in After-Effects is preferable.
- Project management skills.
- Planning a shoot calendar and delivering on it.
- Ability to make content that provokes strong audience reactions.
- Understanding the difference between ‘good enough’ and ‘industry-leading’.
- Experience working with sports organizations.
- Building relationships with clubs, players, and broadcasters.
- Brilliant communication skills, both internally and with clients and their clubs.
- Passion for digital and social video.
- Constant search for new inspiration and industry comparison.
- Ability to operate in a team and individually.
