About the Role
As a Manager, you will become an advocate of the firm who pushes forward internal and external initiatives. The role will involve building and maintaining strong business relationships with clients, executing projects to a high standard, and working with and managing other colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects or programmes through team management and cross-divisional specialist contribution.
- Rigorously execute projects to high-quality standards, conducting post-project reviews to identify lessons learned.
- Build and cultivate strong business relationships, identify new opportunities, lead negotiations, and provide technical/operational leadership for client-centric solutions.
- Develop a portfolio of clients and professional networks by building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Seek, develop, and drive business development opportunities, anticipating future company needs based on client/industry research.
- Manage the scope, preparation, delivery, reporting, and evaluation for large and high-risk projects.
- Effectively manage commercial and contractual aspects of engagements to achieve quality, profitability, and deadlines.
- Communicate risks and issues early to colleagues, proposing solutions.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and products/services, sharing relevant knowledge with senior management.
- Collaborate with peers to form a cohesive senior management team and participate in decisions like resource allocation.
- Ensure employee wellbeing is actively managed or escalated.
- Review junior team members' work for quality, identify development needs, and provide coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments.
- Meet deadlines within the Amberside Advisors Performance Development Cycle, including appraisals and objective setting.
- Ensure team members accurately charge time to engagement codes to reflect work value and effort.
- Support the onboarding of new joiners.
Requirements

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to translate this to an Excel model.
- Practiced at communicating complex information clearly and concisely, verbally or in writing.
- Exhibits role model behavior in line with Amberside Advisors values.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
- Skilled at coping with pressure from competing priorities and interruptions.
- Able to apply research skills to solve new issues and make improvements.
- Experience working in a consulting role in financial services.
- Experience leading delivery of large-scale financial projects, including designing and implementing financial operating models.
- Financial modelling, budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and analysis experience.
- Experience working as an effective team player and taking on a leadership role.
