About the Role

This role supports the execution of demand generation activity within the Defence sector, focusing on audience growth and driving high-intent demand for products. You will work closely with the Demand Generation Manager and marketing team to execute campaigns effectively, engage prospects, and drive traffic, awareness, and lead volume to the defence portfolio via social media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute LinkedIn campaigns, organic content, thought leadership, employee advocacy, and paid activities.
  • Build and optimize LinkedIn programs to drive awareness, credibility, and qualified traffic for portfolio products/capabilities.
  • Monitor LinkedIn ad spend and organic performance, identifying and flagging issues or opportunities.
  • Ensure all LinkedIn content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and security/compliance requirements.
  • Own the LinkedIn content calendar, ensuring a consistent, relevant, and timely posting schedule.
  • Manage day-to-day community interactions on LinkedIn, responding professionally and in line with brand voice and sector sensitivities.
  • Maintain an 'always on' content pipeline, ensuring messaging is fresh, accurate, and aligned with priorities.
  • Support employee advocacy initiatives to encourage content sharing and amplification.
  • Support the handover of engaged LinkedIn leads/audiences to the campaign team with accurate data segmentation.
  • Partner with brand and campaign teams to ensure LinkedIn content aligns with wider brand positioning and campaign messaging.
  • Champion consistent customer messaging across all LinkedIn activity, reflecting brand standards and resonating with target audiences.
  • Act as a link between social media and the wider marketing function, feeding audience insights back into planning.
  • Support integrated campaign moments by coordinating LinkedIn activity with brand and campaign launches.
  • Track and report on key LinkedIn metrics, providing regular reports and insights.
  • Monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Support A/B testing across LinkedIn paid campaigns, organic content formats, and landing pages.
  • Translate briefs and strategic direction into well-executed, on-brand LinkedIn content.
  • Build strong working relationships with external agencies and internal teams.
  • Stay current on LinkedIn platform updates, algorithm changes, and B2B/defence sector social media best practices, proactively bringing new ideas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a social media marketing or digital marketing role.
  • Hands-on management of a brand's LinkedIn presence in a B2B, corporate, or regulated environment.
  • Confident using social media management/scheduling tools for LinkedIn.
  • Experience with content creation and design tools for producing professional static and video content.
  • Understanding of LinkedIn analytics and reporting.
  • Experience using GA4 alongside LinkedIn's native analytics.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology including CRM and email automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of brand consistency and messaging frameworks.
  • Ability to translate brand and campaign strategy into compelling LinkedIn content.
  • Data-driven, test-and-learn mindset with a focus on continuous optimization.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear content.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage a full content pipeline and campaign activity.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working with various teams and partners.
  • Existing SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain SC clearance, may be required.
