About the Role

Lead the front desk team in providing a warm, professional, and seamless welcome to all members, guests, and visitors. Set the tone for exceptional service and ensure reception operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the reception team in delivering consistent, high-quality service.
  • Answer high-volume phone lines and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment, reception area, desk and coat check closet.
  • Support, redirect and problem solve in real-time to ensure any guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set.
  • Prepare daily reports and handovers for management, identifying any service or operational issues.
  • Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management.
  • Train and onboard new reception team members, and conduct regular refresher sessions.
  • Monitor reception systems, bookings, membership database, and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee shift rotas, task delegation, and team communication to maintain full coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubs.
  • 2–4 years in a receptionist or front-of-house role within a premium hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindset.

Skills

  • Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Open Table, or equivalent).

Salary/Compensations

  • £17.50—£17.50 GBP
