About the Role

We are building a new application landscape around our law firm software, including a research platform, workflow automation, and document tools. You will take responsibility for the existing structure, bring in concept and structure, and develop it further with your own ideas to advance our firm. You will be the sole software developer, integrated into the Legal Engineers team.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the existing structure, bring in concept and structure, and develop it further with your own ideas.
  • Build a new application landscape around our law firm software, including a research platform, workflow automation, and document tools.
  • Read, understand, secure, and further develop AI-generated code.
  • Independently break down, structure, and prioritize task packages.
  • Reliably document completed work.
  • Realistically estimate effort and proactively communicate interim statuses.
  • Exchange with non-developers and clearly explain technical issues and risks.
  • Incorporate tests, documentation, and structure into existing code without documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience or serious interest in AI-powered development (Claude Code).
  • Ability to read, understand, secure, and further develop AI-generated code.
  • Ability to independently break down, structure, and prioritize task packages.
  • Ability to reliably document completed work.
  • Ability to realistically estimate effort and proactively communicate interim statuses.
  • Willingness and ability to communicate with non-developers and explain technical issues and risks clearly.
  • Ability to understand existing code without documentation and subsequently add tests, documentation, and structure.
  • Fluent German language skills for communication with legal professionals.
