About the Role

We are seeking senior linguists with proven experience in the Life Sciences vertical to join our Medical Talent Community. Your specialized expertise will be crucial for high-stakes medical content supporting patients, requiring an understanding of patient communications, clinical documentation, and healthcare terminology.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and validate target text to meet U.S. healthcare compliance standards.
• Demonstrate experience in translating for healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or clinical settings.
• Work within strict quality environments and adhere to ISO 17100 quality standards.
• Complete a secure login/verification process via smartphone, as required by the end client's system.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Romanian, with fluency in English.
• Must be physically located in the United States.
• Must have access to a smartphone for secure identity verification purposes.
• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
• Professional experience in translation and localization within the Medical/Life Sciences domains.
• Reliable availability and commitment to quality work and on-time delivery.
• Complete a project list or references highlighting past work in regulated medical markets.
• Confirmation of familiarity with relevant U.S. healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards.
• Completion of a domain-specific translation or review test.
• Solely responsible for your own tax obligations.
