About the Role

We are looking for a talented Mobile Software Engineer - Android to help build and evolve Curve’s next generation mobile experience. You will design, build, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create intuitive, consumer-facing features. Champion engineering excellence, continuously improve application performance, mentor other developers, and help shape robust development practices.

  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create intuitive, consumer-facing features.
  • Champion engineering excellence.

  • Help shape robust development practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and shipping Android applications to the Google Play Store.
  • Strong experience building Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience developing secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of Android architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with Clean Architecture and object-oriented programming.
  • Deep understanding of Android components including Activities, Fragments, Services, Content Providers, and Broadcast Receivers.
  • Knowledge of Android lifecycle management and best practices.
  • Experience monitoring application performance and debugging production issues.
  • Experience writing automated tests including unit, integration, and UI tests.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers.
  • Experience building and maintaining multi-module applications.
  • Ability to mentor and support fellow engineers while promoting engineering best practices.

  • £76,760 - £95,950
