About the Role
As a Production Controller (m/f/d), you will be a central business partner for local and European production management, supporting the control of our German production sites. Through well-founded analyses, you will create transparency regarding costs, results, and operational key figures, making an important contribution to sustainable performance improvements and sound management decisions. In close collaboration with production managers, you will identify optimization and digitalization potentials, develop concrete measures, and support their implementation. As a key interface between controlling and production, you will advise management on operational and strategic issues and actively shape the continuous development of production controlling and the controlling tools used. In this role, you will report to the Head of Operational Controlling Germany in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, plan-actual analyses, and reporting of costs, results, and operational key figures
- Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as in profit center and cost center accounting
- Analysis, preparation, and commentary of monthly plant results in close cooperation with production managers
- Conducting variance analyses, economic feasibility assessments, and scenario analyses, as well as deriving concrete recommendations for action
- Development, prioritization, and support of measures for performance improvement and efficiency increase
- Identification and implementation of optimization potentials in production processes as well as in the areas of digitalization and automation
- Acting as a strategic sparring partner for production management and leadership on operational and strategic issues
- Advising on budgeting, planning, and investment decisions
- Creation of well-founded business analyses and decision proposals for top management
- Establishment and continuous development of a meaningful KPI and key figure system
- Support and further development of production costing
- Creation, analysis, and optimization of Operational Working Capital (OWC)
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, or a comparable degree with a focus on controlling or finance
- Several years of professional experience in production and plant controlling, ideally in a manufacturing industrial company
- Very good knowledge of SAP R/3, especially in modules CO, FI, and MM
- SAP BW and HFM knowledge are advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience in creating and developing Power BI models and dashboards
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a very good understanding of numbers
- Structured, solution-oriented, and self-reliant way of working
- High communication and consulting competence, and enjoyment of collaboration with different departments
- Very good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks even when working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Team-oriented personality with a strong hands-on mindset
