You will translate business requirements, regulatory mandates, and technical possibilities into viable, interoperable solution architectures, working closely with our development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with software development on planning and implementing interoperable interfaces, data models, and workflows.
  • Contribute to the creation and structuring of Epics and User Stories from an architectural and interoperability perspective, ensuring technical consistency and feasibility.
  • Manage and coordinate architecture and implementation projects in the interoperability domain, including technical project support, reviews, and architecture checks.
  • Continuously consider regulatory and normative requirements (e.g., national eHealth specifications, directives from gematik, ELGA GmbH) and integrate them into our product portfolio.
  • Monitor developments in standardization bodies (including IHE, HL7, openEHR) and derive implications for our interoperability strategy and solution architecture.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Medical Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in designing and implementing software or system architectures in healthcare, particularly in the area of cross-organizational, interoperable enterprise solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of interoperability standards: IHE profiles (design, implementation, integration), HL7 FHIR, openEHR (and ideally other standards like HL7 V2/V3, DICOM).
  • Experience in coordinated collaboration with product management, development, management, and regulatory affairs.
  • Familiarity with common architecture and development models, preferably in agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to structure complex interoperability and architecture contexts and make and justify clear decisions.
  • High degree of personal responsibility and ability to independently prioritize, drive, and oversee topics through to implementation.
  • Strong interest in professional and technical development in eHealth and Health IT interoperability.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills, as well as confident interaction in interdisciplinary teams and with external partners.
  • Structured working method and the ability to consistently pursue interoperability topics in a dynamic environment.
  • Endurance to drive long-term architecture and interoperability initiatives.
  • High willingness to take responsibility and enjoyment in actively utilizing scope for design.
