About the Role

The EMEA Internal Audit Office aims to drive leading class standards of governance and control in EMEA, supporting MUFG's vision to be the world's most trusted financial group. Audit Analysts are responsible for executing and delivering assigned audit engagements, including scoping, planning, reporting, issue validation, and continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of tasks and complete within deadlines.
• Document workpapers according to methodology and Quality Assurance Standards.
• Escalate potential findings promptly and support discussions with stakeholders to agree issues.
• Work with stakeholders to determine root causes and support the production of Management Action Plans.
• Coordinate issue follow-up with stakeholders and validate issues to required quality standards and within relevant KPIs.
• Maintain regular touchpoints with relevant stakeholders to drive effective issue management.
• Deliver audit workpapers and files to meet QA standards, remediating review comments and demonstrating improvement.
• Ensure data quality meets related deadlines and expectations.
• Produce individual issues that are impactful, clear, factual, and written in line with business writing requirements.
• Support the embedding of the agile framework to improve stakeholder interaction and issue raising.
• Partner with stakeholders to demonstrate impact and influence through tangible outcomes and raised standards of controls and behaviors.
• Identify and escalate emerging risks or material changes that might impact the audit universe, risk assessment, or audit plan.

Requirements

• Experience working in an audit or risk management function within the Financial Services sector (banking, investment banking, or Big 4 firm).
• Experience of auditing methods and industry practices.
• Appreciation of risk and control in banking and financial services, financial products, their risks and processes.
• Experience in Agile Auditing and Data Analytics.
