About the Role
We are seeking our future Analyst-Programmer – Cobol/IDMS to join our teams. This role involves developing, evolving, and maintaining IT systems using Cobol/IDMS technology, including creating or modifying processing units and associated deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Perform development, evolution, and maintenance of IT systems developed with Central technology (Cobol/IDMS).
- Create or modify a new or existing processing unit and associated deliverables, inspired by the Macroscope methodology or agile mode.
- Maintain and evolve applications developed on the Cobol central platform.
- Analyze needs.
- Perform functional analysis and produce or update necessary documentation.
- Perform technical realization (programming).
- Perform unit and functional testing.
- Provide training to the application pilot, if necessary.
- Provide support for the production deployment of products.
- Collaborate on architecture work, as needed.
- Write preliminary analysis deliverables.
- Collaborate on writing functional architecture deliverables.
Requirements
- Possess a college-level studies attestation (AEC), a college diploma (DEC), a university certificate, or a minimum undergraduate university degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline.
- Have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
- Must have experience as an analyst-programmer in the maintenance, evolution, and development of systems on a central platform, including:
- Use of Cobol Panvalet
- IDMS database, JCL, TSO, and SAS
- At least eight (8) years of experience in information technology.
- Five (5) years of experience as an analyst-programmer in the maintenance, evolution, and development of systems on a central platform.
- Have completed one (1) mandate totaling more than 1,000 person-days on the central platform within the last five (5) years, in organizations similar to the client's.
