About the Role
NRMA Insurance, part of IAG, is seeking a Claims Consultant to manage complex claims from start to finish, assess cases, gather information, and make fair decisions based on policy guidelines. The role involves coordinating repairs and replacements, keeping customers informed, and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support customers through their claims journey, listening to their situation and helping find fair, practical outcomes.
- Manage property claims from start to finish, keeping customers informed every step of the way via phone and email.
- Work closely with suppliers, repairers and internal teams to ensure claims are progressed efficiently.
- Balance multiple claims and priorities in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy periods.
- Assess information, ask the right questions, and make confident decisions in line with policy guidelines.
- Bring empathy, professionalism and problem-solving skills to every interaction, particularly when customers are under stress.
Requirements
- Proven customer service experience.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Great interpersonal skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to keep accurate notes and stay organised.
