About the Role
The Risk and Operations team is part of CFS’s Superannuation & Investments (S&I) business unit, accountable for delivering investment, superannuation and retirement products. The S&I business unit is led by the CEO – CFS Super, who has fiduciary and compliance responsibilities to ensure all CFS businesses manage risks effectively in customers best interests. S&I team members will often act on behalf of the Trustee or Responsible Entity on behalf of all relevant CFS business units.
Responsibilities
- Support the S&I team with end-to-end Risk Matter management to ensure compliance with the Risk Matter Standards.
- Assist with the facilitation of regular risk meetings with the business to drive closure of long dated Risk Matters and completion of risk commitments.
- Provide support on control creation, testing and control evaluations to ensure completion within the agreed timeline and in line with the CFS Controls Management Standard.
- Maintain artefacts, tools and processes that support the Product Development and Distribution Policy.
- Assist the broader team on the delivery of key Line 1 risk deliverables such as Risk Forums, BCP, Risk Profiling, RMD, Audits, Due Diligence questionnaires, Risk Culture, Obligations Management, training etc.
- Provide assistance in driving uplift in data quality for Risk matters, Risks and Controls.
- Provide general risk support and guidance to the business on initiatives, policies, product reviews, DDO obligations and ad hoc requests.
- Ensure S&I maintain compliance with the obligation management framework and all other internal policies and frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience in wealth management and similar risk roles 5 years plus.
- Experience in using risk systems (Lighthouse or similar system), Risk matters and Controls testing.
- Strong understanding of the CFS business (or equivalent experience in a similar business).
- Previous experience in end-to-end delivery of projects /initiatives.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across both CFS and within the team.
- Strong ability to solve complex problems, drive process improvements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail - Able to lead, pivot, roll up your sleeves and implement with quality and passion.
- Experience and credibility in engaging with senior internal stakeholders.
- Full work rights in Australia.
- Background checks will be completed prior to final offer.
