About the Role
TheFork is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join the Business Operations team, which focuses on building tools for internal users to enhance their experience and grow the restaurant and diner communities. This role involves working on microservices architecture, including the Billing System, Data Flows, Content Moderation, and Internal Portals.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the Billing System, Data Flows, Content Moderation, and Internal Portals within an autonomous squad.
- Participate in Product Discovery, collaborating with Product and internal stakeholders to understand user needs.
- Design and implement new services and features using a microservices architecture (Node.js/TypeScript, React/GraphQL).
- Follow DDD, TDD, and BDD best practices.
- Contribute to technical decisions, proposing and discussing architecture choices with senior engineers.
- Challenge product or technical assumptions when relevant.
- Collaborate with AI tooling (Claude Code) to boost productivity.
- Grow with mentorship from senior engineers on architecture, best practices, and product thinking.
- Partner with the HR team for continuous professional growth.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in Fullstack web development.
- Strong technical foundation and growing familiarity with architectural patterns for large-scale applications (DDD, TDD, BDD).
- Comfortable taking a product-discovery approach, iterating based on customer input.
- Rigorous, curious, and a strong team player who adapts well to a changing environment.
- Ability to analyze problems upfront, challenge product and stakeholder decisions, and own work through to production.
- Comfortable working and communicating in English.
