About the Role

The PCS Sales Engineering Network Specialist is responsible for requirements definition, implementation, verification, and post-delivery support for biological and physiological information network implementations within their assigned market. This role primarily involves server/client construction, software installation, verification, and setup; collaboration with hospital medical information departments, EMR vendors, and third-party network vendors; and providing technical support during sales negotiations. The specialist reports to the PCS Sales Engineering Department Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales support by leveraging specialized skills to assist sales in achieving higher win rates, improved sales prices, and increased upsell opportunities.
  • Support sales efforts for proprietary products and network proposals.
  • Coordinate internal departments, including third-party vendors and network engineering teams, to align with proprietary product networks for each project.
  • Collaborate with internal segment teams and sales representatives on projects spanning multiple PCS segments to consolidate total PCS proposals.
  • Participate in job meetings and other internal coordination activities.
  • Strive for efficient sales by accurately understanding customer needs and requests and communicating them internally.
  • Provide product customer support, including follow-up on proprietary product applications.
  • Deliver customer support for installations, including requirements definition, implementation, and verification for proprietary network products and third-party biological information filing systems and physiological examination systems.
  • Perform server and client construction, software installation, verification, and setup during delivery.
  • Provide post-delivery customer support, including usage guidance and customization follow-up.
  • Support the customer call center by responding to customer inquiries remotely via phone.
  • Conduct product verification, including network testing with proprietary and third-party products, to identify improvements in functions, data flow, and workflows for market proposals.
  • Provide product feedback to the segment team to contribute to better product development.
  • Undertake mandatory internal training, including quality and EHS, to continuously update knowledge and perform duties with integrity.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in system requirements definition, construction, implementation (including installation such as racking), and operation, including network and server hardware, is preferred.
  • Experience in constructing and operating server environments, server virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V), and SQL Server is preferred.
  • High motivation and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders as a team player.
  • Strong communication skills and the agility to handle various customer interactions.
  • Willingness to learn about GE Healthcare products and business processes in addition to current experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to engage in open, mutual feedback with surrounding stakeholders and a proactive attitude towards improving existing operations.
  • Fluent Japanese language proficiency.
  • Willingness to improve English language skills is desired, though English proficiency is not required.
