About the Role

RBC Capital Markets is seeking an Analyst to join their Securitisation Finance team in Sydney. This role supports the origination, structuring, and execution of securitized transactions, along with ongoing monitoring and surveillance across major asset classes. The position aims to deliver high-quality products and services, generating strong revenue and favorable risk-return profiles for RBC.

Responsibilities

• Support business generation within specific asset classes funded through US conduits and on the RBC balance sheet.
• Assist with the origination process, ongoing management and monitoring of existing transactions.
• Produce marketing materials for existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare detailed credit write-ups containing transaction terms and conditions, data analysis and other analytical support.
• Coordinate the review and approval process with Group Risk Management.
• Participate in comprehensive due diligence activities with clients and servicers.
• Prepare thorough due diligence reports.
• Work with clients and legal counsel to develop and negotiate transaction documentation.
• Liaise with rating agencies to secure transaction approvals.
• Prepare annual transaction renewals.
• Maintain strong client relationships.
• Allocate time across origination support, execution support, reporting, surveillance, quantitative analysis, and compliance activities.
• Identify operational risks and control deficiencies.
• Adhere strictly to firm policies and promptly escalate any compliance concerns.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry qualifications applicable to the Securitisation finance sector.
• Solid understanding of credit markets and fixed income instruments.
• Sound mathematical knowledge and an ability to think logically through problems.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, across a range of tasks and mediums.
• High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• An ability to work effectively both individually and within a team that may be geographically dispersed.
• An understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
