About the Role
Support the delivery of advice and execution services on M&A transactions, initial public offerings, and various capital raisings. Build foundational client relationship and industry knowledge under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Support transaction execution across M&A and capital markets transactions, including timetables, workstream coordination and documentation preparation, under senior team member guidance.
- Assist with due diligence coordination and data room management.
- Assist with the preparation of private and public marketing materials, including information memorandums, management presentations, scheme booklets and explanatory memorandums.
- Perform routine transaction tasks accurately and without reminders.
- Execute on clear instructions with strong attention to detail.
- Attend client meetings and observe senior team members' client interactions.
- Build an understanding of client business models and needs, under supervision.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of client pitches and presentations.
- Generate origination ideas and support participation in pitching and marketing to clients.
- Conduct basic industry research and support market analysis and reporting.
- Perform data analysis and asset screening to support origination ideas.
- Prepare financial and operational models, including three-way models, using valuation methodologies such as DCF.
- Update and maintain trading and transaction comparable company benchmarks.
- Build a strong understanding of basic corporate finance principles.
- Develop competency in valuation techniques, including DCF and comparable company analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a Finance related discipline.
- 2–5 years' experience in a similar role.
- High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm and energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel modelling skills.
- Strong PowerPoint skills to prepare client pitches and presentations.
- Ability to build strong and enduring client relationships.
- Ability to build networks and trusted relationships with peers, and collaborate effectively to achieve shared outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
