About the Role

As our Commis Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our team, learning from experienced senior chefs, showcasing your love for food, creative spark, and strong teamwork abilities to create dishes that leave a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, while maintaining high quality and presentation.
• Adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management.
• Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items.
• Receiving ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs.
• Handling a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes.

Requirements

• Possession of recognized culinary training and employment experience.
• A commercial cookery certification.
• Preferably, a safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor certification.
• Ambition, raw talent, and a passion for food.
• Openness to feedback and willingness to experiment with new ideas.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner.
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
