About the Role

This role involves configuring SAP Finance modules, leading workshops, and applying knowledge of Japan-specific legal and tax requirements within SAP solutions. You will perform data migration for finance-related data and deliver high-quality project outcomes. The position also includes supporting pre-sales efforts and contributing to internal initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Configure SAP Finance modules (e.g., FI-GL, AP, AR, AA) to meet business needs.
• Lead or support business workshops using finance and accounting terminology.
• Apply knowledge of Japan-specific legal, tax, and reporting requirements in SAP solutions.
• Perform data migration for finance-related master and transactional data.
• Deliver high-quality project outcomes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support pre-sales efforts including proposal development and client presentations.
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as creating Japan-specific templates and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of SAP Finance functional experience.
• Completed at least two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of finance business processes and SAP configuration.
• Hands-on experience in data migration for finance objects.
• Business-level fluency in Japanese (JLPT N2) and English (both written and spoken) is a must.
• Familiarity with Japan's local financial regulations and statutory requirements is a plus.
• Exposure to working with Japanese clients or in Japan-based projects.
• Prior involvement in pre-sales, proposals, or solutioning.
• Keen to learn about the flow of data in an SAP S/4HANA® system and how to transform it.
• Have ambition to take your own functional (SAP applications, business processes) and technical skills to the next level.
• Desire to work in an international project environment.
• An analytical and problem-solving consultant with the desire to develop your own skills and talents.
