About the Role
Advance scientific engagement, generate actionable field insights, and support Medical Affairs execution within the Hematology business area in Japan. This role involves collaborating with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross-functional partners to make a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliant scientific engagement with external experts across Hematology.
- Gather and communicate field insights from clinical practice and congress activities.
- Own complex field medical activities aligned with Medical Affairs strategy.
- Maintain expert, investigator, and engagement-priority mapping.
- Deliver disease-state education to practitioners and researchers in Hematology.
- Contribute to evidence generation, medical education, and scientific communication.
- Lead selected Medical Affairs projects and support IIS and clinical-trial activities.
- Build trusted relationships and translate scientific exchange into actionable insights.
Requirements
- MD, PhD, or PharmD preferred; Master's degree with substantial Hematology experience may be considered.
- Deep scientific expertise in Hematology and solid tumors; hemato-oncology or immuno-Hematology experience preferred.
- 6+ years in pharmaceutical, clinical research, clinical practice, Medical Affairs, or related scientific roles.
- Ability to independently deliver advanced scientific engagement and high-quality field outcomes.
- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills with external and internal stakeholders.
- Experience building relationships with academic and clinical experts.
- Experience working in matrix organizations; partnership experience is valued.
- Understanding of compliance requirements governing non-promotional Field Medical activities.
- Experience supporting evidence generation, medical education, scientific communication, or Medical Affairs projects preferred.
- Prior Field Medical or Medical Science Liaison experience in Hematology preferred.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40–60%.
