About the Role
The project "Chance für MigrantInnen" in Berlin aims to support individuals with a migration background and high support needs in their transition to sustainable employment or training. This involves intensive socio-pedagogical care, addressing personal circumstances and professional development in a supportive and trusting environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of individual and small group activities.
- Building reliable relationship structures and providing key worker support.
- Socio-pedagogical support throughout the duration of the program.
- Socio-pedagogical diagnostics, needs assessment, and individual development planning.
- Support in overcoming social and personal challenges.
- Crisis intervention and preventive work to avoid program dropouts.
- Consultation on social law issues and assistance with application processes.
- Referral and advisory services within the existing support system.
- Networking and collaboration with job centers, counseling services, and partners.
- Accompanying clients to official appointments and providing daily support.
- Documentation of socio-pedagogical work according to client requirements.
Requirements
- Social Work / Social Pedagogy degree.
- Special Education / Rehabilitation Pedagogy degree.
- University degree with a focus on Social Work, Special Education, or Youth Welfare.
- Educational Sciences with 1 year of experience with the target group in the last 5 years.
- Pedagogy with at least one year of experience with the target group.
- State-recognized educator with at least two years of experience with the target group.
- Foreign language skills in Russian, Ukrainian, and Arabic are advantageous.
