About the Role
The PA/NP assists the physician in delivering medical care, obtaining patient data, interpreting findings, and managing treatment plans. This role ensures quality patient care and maintains positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Obtain historical and physical data on patients.
- Interpret and integrate findings to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Assist in the management of treatment plans.
- Provide technical assistance.
- Assure quality patient care.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees.
- Practice under the supervision and guidance of the physician.
Requirements
- Ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment.
- Possess motor coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and understand orders.
- Ability to articulate speech.
- Possess visual and auditory acuity.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
