About the Role

The EBITDA Improvement Analyst supports the identification, analysis, and monitoring of initiatives that drive improvements to the organisation’s EBITDA. This role collaborates cross-functionally to provide analytical insights that enhance revenue, optimise costs, and drive operational efficiency, ultimately improving business profitability and long-term value creation. The role combines financial modelling, data analysis, commercial acumen, and reporting to support the delivery of measurable outcomes aligned with strategic and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial modelling and data analysis to identify key drivers of EBITDA performance.
  • Highlight opportunities for improvement across the business.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and margin improvement strategies.
  • Analyse spend across operational, procurement and support functions.
  • Analyse data relating to revenue growth, pricing, product and channel mix.
  • Review customer churn and other commercial drivers to uncover actionable insights.
  • Assist in tracking the delivery of EBITDA improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate logs of project timelines, budgets and ROI targets.
  • Maintain, update and develop KPIs and dashboards.
  • Monitor financial improvement initiatives and provide clear visibility to management.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, HR and other departments.
  • Gather relevant data and provide analytical support for change and improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, data visualisations and commercial analysis.
  • Provide clear insights for senior leaders, boards and investment stakeholders.
  • Assist in building financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for transformation projects and investment opportunities.
  • Support the analysis and execution of pricing strategies across product offerings.
  • Ensure pricing decisions align with EBITDA improvement targets.
  • Analyse pricing performance and margin outcomes across channels and products.
  • Maintain and utilise pricing models and tools to improve pricing visibility, margin position and profitability analysis.
  • Provide data-driven insights and analytical support for pricing recommendations on new products and services.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree majoring in Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce, Accounting or another relevant discipline.
  • Experience in finance, commercial analysis, FP&A, business analysis, pricing or a similar area would be advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and quantitative analysis skills.
  • An interest in financial modelling, commercial performance and understanding what drives business profitability.
  • Confidence working with data and identifying trends or inconsistencies.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to challenge assumptions.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with different teams across the business.
