About the Role

This role works as part of a team to deliver the highest technical services in the field of lighting. The role is customer focused and supports performers to achieve excellence in their field, drawing on high level technical skills, operational experience and comprehensive understanding of lighting equipment and systems. Although not directly responsible for operation of equipment, this role is pivotal in the support of operators by ensuring the technical systems are maintained and documented and WHS standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

Deliver the highest technical services in the field of lighting.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in working conditions of a live theatre environment or a related industry.
Demonstrated general technical understanding, skills, and experience in lighting.
Understanding of the requirements of live theatre and the performing arts industry.
Physical fitness, agility, and ability to work at heights.
Ability and commitment to work on a rotating shift basis.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within teams and across multiple disciplines.
Good communication skills.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Existing Australian work rights.
Satisfactory National Police Check.
Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

Skills

Lighting technical skills
Operational experience with lighting equipment and systems
Basic theory and understanding of lighting concepts (focussing, patching, lighting effects) are desirable.
