About the Role

BDO’s Strategy & Transformation team addresses complex strategic and operational challenges, helping organizations define direction, improve performance, and deliver meaningful transformation. You will develop practical, evidence-based solutions and support clients from strategy and planning through to implementation, working across a diverse portfolio of government and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Define and analyse clients’ challenges and opportunities, and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
  • Support planning and delivery of client engagements using BDO’s approaches, methodologies and quality standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis to develop insights and support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement with client leadership teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop clear, high-quality reports, recommendations, business cases and improvement roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with teams across BDO to bring together relevant expertise and deliver valuable, practical advice to clients.
  • Contribute to proposals, tenders, RFPs and other business development activities.

Requirements

  • Experience within a consulting or professional services environment, ideally across strategy, transformation, operating model, performance improvement or related engagements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex problems, develop insights and identify practical solutions.
  • An understanding of how strategy translates into organisational priorities, operating models, transformation initiatives and improved performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build effective working relationships.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and client commitments while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the initiative to take ownership and work effectively with appropriate autonomy.

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification required, with discipline flexibility including Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce, Economics, Business or related fields.
